Coinbase is currently attesting to addresses that are verified accounts on their exchange. The Schema is on the Base L2, and there are over 50,000 accounts attested to.
What are some use cases that builders can make use of from these attestations?
Is anyone using these attestations to make a ‘regulator approved’ DEX? Or perhaps using it as an anti-sybil tool for airdropping things to real people?
In some sense, I’d imagine that any Coinbase verification would indicate that the user has met KYC/AML compliance. This engenders trust in many circumstances.

I know they are also working with the SEC crypto task force. Not sure if their work and conversations with them was also a motivation for this feature - would be interesting to find that out, as it would indicate how the RWA space will grow.
